Sending masala abroad? Pack the Vasant your family cooks with.
For parents packing a suitcase for a child starting university overseas, and for families sending a taste of home to relatives in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia and beyond. Order sealed Vasant Masala packs online, and we deliver them in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai or Thane before the journey.
Why families in Mumbai pack masala for abroad
Indian grocery stores exist in most big cities overseas, but they rarely stock the exact brand a family has cooked with for years, and imported Indian spices usually cost more than they do at home. For a student living on a budget, that adds up. A few sealed packs of Vasant haldi, mirchi, dhania and garam masala in the suitcase mean the first home-cooked dal abroad tastes like the one from home.
Many of our customers are parents packing for children who are studying overseas, or relatives sending masala with someone who is travelling. Some live abroad themselves and order Vasant Masala for their family here. Masala365 is an authorised Vasant Masala distributor in Kandivali West, so every pack is sealed and carries its printed label and ingredient list, which also makes declaring it at customs simpler.

- Keep every spice in its sealed, original Vasant pack so the label and ingredients are visible.
- Put the packs together in a zip bag inside checked luggage. It keeps the aroma in and any spills away from clothes.

My child is flying abroad next week. Can you deliver before the flight?

I live abroad. Can I order for my family in Mumbai?
Yes. Place the order on the website with your family's address in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai or Thane, and send it on WhatsApp. We confirm the total with you and deliver to them.
Which masala is best to carry abroad?
Sealed, labelled packs travel best and are easiest to declare at customs. Start with haldi, lal mirch, dhania, jeera, garam masala, hing and chai masala, then add blended masalas for the dishes the traveller cooks most.
Are Indian spices allowed through customs abroad?
Rules differ by country and change over time. Most countries ask travellers to declare food, and some, like Australia, are very strict. Always check the official customs website of the destination country before travelling. We cannot advise on customs decisions.
How is delivery charged?
Delivery within Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane is ₹39 per KG of the order, rounded up to the next KG.
